Gripping the steering wheel on a busy freeway, I kept checking the rearview mirror, terrified for my baby in the car seat behind me. Only two tiny teddy-socked feet were visible. “He’s okay, Mom,” my nine-year-old whispered, trying to comfort me as I sped toward the hospital.
That day marked the beginning of a long journey—one filled with fear, confusion, and countless unanswered questions. My happy, healthy baby slowly changed before my eyes, later diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder. I wrestled with frustration, wondering why no one warned me how vaccines might affect his platelets, his speech, his digestion, his daily ability to cope.
